Shamsheri Tea (also called, Chai Shamsheri) is a private label tea and enjoys a history synonymous with that of CP Dubai itself. The first Shamsheri Tea was blended by the founders of the company more than seven decades ago when they first arrived in Dubai with a mere five chests of Assam’s Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (TGFOP) orthodox quality tea. The early Arab consumers were delighted with this refreshing and unique blend and encouraged the enthusiastic traders to sell packets of branded tea in 1 lb sizes. Encouraged by their response, the traders travelled back home to Kolkata to work with reputed brand markers and develop tasteful packaging for their tea. Shamsheri Tea is now a household name and is very popular in several Gulf countries. Our consumers in the Middle East have continued to enjoy a consistent and unparalleled blend of flavour and taste over the decades and continue to patronise this tea in increasing numbers. Shamsheri Tea is packed in Kolkata by our associate company C. Patel & Co. In the Gulf, this tea is often consumed without milk.
